The act of performing a ceremony brings together the energy, intentions and love of those involved. The process itself begins to define the roles and importance of the people in our lives, granting us the opportunity to be a part of a tribe, or village, that contributes to our safety and happiness. Putting together a Baptism, Baby Blessing, or Naming for a child new to this world is not only a fun and beautiful way to honor this new life, it's also a way to define his or her "village" who will commit to the well-being, protection, and guidance of the child.
